PSB National Championship

All participants will receive a Digital Participation Certificate.
  1. All PSB Regional Championship winners (gold, silver and bronze medalists) are eligible to participate in the PSB National Championship.
  2. The National Championship will have three rounds: Rounds 1, 2, and the Champions’ Round.
  3. The score from regional championship rounds will not be considered in the PSB National Championship.
  4. In both Rounds 1 and 2 of the PSB National Championship, 4 (four) words will be from the official list, and 6 (six) words from the hidden list.
  5. After Round 2, the top 3 teams from each grade, with a cumulative score of 16 or above, will qualify for the Champions’ Round (See Competition Rules).
  6. In the event of a tie between teams, the teams having the tie will play a round of SpellTok word game (for English language competition) and Hijjay word game (for Urdu language competition) to determine the winner. If the tie remains, more rounds will be played until the tie is resolved.
  7. In the Champions’ Round of the PSB Regional Championships, every third word will be from the hidden list.
  8. In the Champions’ Round, the top 3 teams from each grade will compete for first, second and third place in front of an audience, and will receive cash prizes, certificates, medals, and trophies as follows:

    certificate, and Gold medal
    Champions’ Round (2nd place) PKR 25K cash prize, shield,
    certificate, and Silver medal
    Champions’ Round (3rd place) PKR 15K cash prize, shield,
    certificate, and Bronze medal
  10. The cash prize will be received by the school representative through a cash cheque. The school is responsible for cashing the cheque and distributing the amount equally, and without deductions of any kind, between the team members who took part in the PSB National Championship. Pakistan Spelling Bee or its organizer will not be responsible for lost or stolen cheques.
